攝影史研究者拉菲·普林斯（Ralph Prins）曾經(jīng)這樣描述：“攝影書是一種獨立的形態(tài)，就好比一個雕塑作品，一出話劇，一部電影。在這里，照片失去了它們攝影的特征，成為整體的一部分……”越來越多的攝影師重視攝影書，因為它們不僅僅是一場呈現(xiàn)于紙上的展覽，更是被視為值得珍視的作品。

作為其中最具實驗性與創(chuàng)造性的攝影手工書，為攝影創(chuàng)作提供了新的可能，拓寬了創(chuàng)作的邊界。一本有趣的攝影手工書，既體現(xiàn)了策展的理念，又在形式語言、觀念表達(dá)、材料運用、手作呈現(xiàn)等方面體現(xiàn)了極大的想象力與創(chuàng)造力。

杭州·國際攝影手工書雙年展的目的是發(fā)現(xiàn)、扶持、培養(yǎng)以攝影手工書為手段創(chuàng)作作品的群體和個人，探討攝影手工書對影像本體的邊界拓展作用，以及跨媒介結(jié)合碰撞出的各種回響。我們鼓勵使用攝影手工書展開新的言說，傳達(dá)積極、健康的社會價值觀和新時期攝影師的開放性創(chuàng)作。

首屆雙年展擬評出入展作品60件，入展作品均頒發(fā)榮譽證書。并在入展作品中評選出8件支持作品：

征稿

細(xì)則

1、投稿作品應(yīng)以攝影為主要內(nèi)容，作品的題材和風(fēng)格不限。

2、對投稿作品的創(chuàng)作時間和作者國籍、年齡、地域均不做要求，不限投稿數(shù)量,鼓勵新人新作。

3、對于足以妨害公序良俗的作品及行為，一經(jīng)發(fā)現(xiàn)將立即取消入選資格?！胺梁蛄妓椎淖髌芳靶袨椤卑ǖ幌抻诳赡車?yán)重誤導(dǎo)公眾認(rèn)知、具有欺詐性質(zhì)等一切違反法律、道德、公共秩序或善良風(fēng)俗的情形。

4、不符合本征稿啟事規(guī)定的，不予評選,已入展的，將予取消資格；組委會有權(quán)收回作品稿酬、榮譽證書等，并可在媒體上通報。

5、投稿作品在寄送過程中損毀、滅失或遲到、未到的，相關(guān)損失及后果由投稿者自行承擔(dān)。

6、投稿者應(yīng)保證其為所投送作品的作者，并對該作品的整體及組成部分均擁有獨立、完整、明確、無爭議的著作權(quán)；投稿者還應(yīng)保證其所投送的作品不侵犯第三人的包括著作權(quán)、肖像權(quán)、名譽權(quán)、隱私權(quán)等在內(nèi)的合法權(quán)益，如出現(xiàn)侵權(quán)紛爭，后果自負(fù)。

7、本屆活動不收參賽費。對于所有入展作品，組委會有權(quán)以宣傳、展覽、信息網(wǎng)絡(luò)傳播、攝制、匯編等方式用于與本次展覽相關(guān)用途，不另行支付報酬，無需向作者另行取得授權(quán)。

8、對于未入展的作品組委會將在評選結(jié)果公布后一個月內(nèi)退還作者，入展的作品在展覽結(jié)束后一個月內(nèi)退還作者，郵費由作者自理。

9、展覽實行評選結(jié)果公示制度，評選出的擬入展作品將進(jìn)行公示，并在此期間接受社會監(jiān)督。公示期滿后，組委會公布正式入展名單。

10、本屆活動征稿解釋權(quán)屬于組委會。凡投稿者，即視為其已同意本啟事之所有規(guī)定。

2、作者投稿時需下載《投稿報名表》并仔細(xì)填寫，每件作品單獨附一份表格，打印后與作品一并寄至組委會?！锻陡鍒竺怼吩谙路綊呙瓒S碼下載。

3、本屆活動采取推委推薦、自薦投稿兩種方式。組委會邀請包括知名策展人、出版人、高校教師、研究者、批評家、藝術(shù)家、收藏家等成員組成推薦委員會（名單后附）。推委請在《投稿報名表》中填寫推薦理由并把電子稿發(fā)送至組委會郵箱。

2023 First “Hangzhou·International Artisan Photobooks Biennal”

Ralph Prins, a researcher in the history of photography, once described: "A photobook is a form of independence, like a sculpture, a play, a film. Here photographs lose their photographic character and become part of the whole......" More and more photographers are valuing photobooks as more than an exhibition presented on paper, they are seen as works to be treasured.

As experimental and creative artisan photobooks, they offer new possibilities and broaden the boundaries of creativity. An interesting artisan photobooks, which not only embodies the concept of curation, but also reflects great imagination and creative inspiration in terms of formal language, concept expression, material application, and handmade presentation.

The aim of the Hangzhou International Artisan Photobooks Biennal is to discover, support and nurture groups and individuals who use artisan photobooks as a means of creating works, to explore the role of artisan photobooks in expanding the boundaries of the image proper, and the various repercussions of cross-media combinations. We encourage the use of artisan photobooks to develop new discourses that convey positive and healthy social values and the openness of photographers in a new era.

60 pieces of works to be selected for the First Biennale, all the selected works will be awarded honorary certificates. And 8 pieces of supporting works will be selected among them:

1 piece, with a prize of RMB 10,000

2 pieces, each receiving a prize of RMB 5,000

5 pieces, each receiving a prize of RMB 1,000

REGULATION

1. The main content of the works submitted should be photography, and there is no restriction on the subject matter and style of the works.

2. There is no requirement on the time of creation, nationality, age or region of the author, and there is no limit on the number of submissions.

3. Works and behaviors that are harmful to public order and morals will be disqualified immediately upon discovery. The term "works and behaviors prejudicial to public order and morals" includes, but is not limited to, those that may seriously mislead public perceptions or are fraudulent in nature, and other situations that violate law, morality, public order or good customs.

4. Works that do not comply with the provisions of this Contributions Wanted will not be selected; those that have been selected for exhibition will be disqualified; Organizing Committee has the right to withdraw the payment for the work, the certificate of honour, etc., and may be notified in the media.

5. If the submitted works are damaged, lost or late or do not arrive in the process of sending, the relevant losses and consequences shall be borne by the submitter.

6. The entrant shall guarantee that he/she is the author of the work submitted and has independent, complete, clear and undisputed copyright of the work as a whole and its components; the entrant shall also guarantee that the work submitted does not infringe the legitimate rights and interests of third parties, including copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights and privacy rights, etc., and shall be responsible for the consequences of any infringement disputes.

7. No entry fee will be charged for this event. Organizing Committee reserves the right to use all works entered in the exhibition for purposes related to the exhibition by means of publicity, exhibition, information network dissemination, filming and compilation, without paying separate remuneration and without obtaining separate authorization from the author.

8. For works not included in the exhibition, Organizing Committee will return them to the authors within one month after the announcement of the selection results, and for works included in the exhibition, they will be returned to the authors within one month after the end of the exhibition, with postage paid by the authors themselves.

9. The exhibition will implement a system of public announcement of the selection results, the selected works will be publicized and accepted for social supervision during this period. After the public display period, Organizing Committee will announce the official selection list.

10. The right to interpret the Contributions Wanted belongs to the Organizing Committee. Anyone who submits an entry shall be deemed to have agreed to all the provisions of this notice.

3. This year's event will be held in two ways: recommended by recommendation member and self-nominated. Organizing Committee invites recommendation members including renowned curators, publishers, university teachers, researchers, critics, artists and collectors to form a recommendation committee (list attached). Recommendation member should fill in the reasons for their recommendations in the "Submission Form" and send electronic file to the E-mail of Organizing Committee.
